2010 inflation may surpass 7 percent, deputy prime minister says
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung on June 7 confirmed that this year’s inflation could not stand at 7 percent as expected in the National Assembly’s resolution.
He said, “We always have to respect the reality. 2010 CPI will likely surpass 7 percent. But the government’s directive is to make attempt to keep 2010 CPI at below 8 percentâ€.
This year, reaching economic growth at 6.5 percent and inflation at 7 percent is good, which will be the nice and comprehensive figures.
Everything is going in right direction. Global environment is also convenient. But if debt crisis in Europe is out of control, Vietnam will suffer the indirect affects such as difficulties in exports and production, even the country’s inflation could go down, Deputy Prime Minister analysed.
